TPCGS GENERAL MEETING

February 13, 2024

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 6:15 by President Tim Ward. He greeted those members (17) and guests (20) on Zoom and introduced the two guests in person at the Parkland-Spanaway Library. Both Melody Stepp, Program V.P and Tim Ward, President, were the members present in person.

 

Tim had two announcements:

 - the passing on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024 of Lou Lehmann. He was a long-time member of TPCGS and a frequent contributor of articles in The Researcher.

- Alisha Chang, organizer of the African American Family History event next Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Tim announced the program, Remedies for Copy & Paste Genealogy. The speaker is our own TPCGS member, Cyndi Ingle, owner and webmaster of Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet. Cyndi graciously allowed the meeting to be recorded for members. it will be allowed to members only until Feb. 28. Her handout will also be posted on the members only website.

 

The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m. in order to vacate the library meeting room by 8 p.m.
