At this time, the Tacoma Public Library is unable to offer obituary look up requests as they have in the past. The Tacoma Pierce County Genealogical Society is offering this service to accommodate the needs of the Library’s many patrons.

The cost of each obituary is $7.50.

For this fee, we will do our best to provide the obituary. It will be sent to the patron via postal mail, with the date and name of paper on the copy. Please be aware that you are paying for the research and that we look in all available resources at the Tacoma Public Library but we cannot guarantee that we will find one.

Complete the Obituary Look Up Form, make checks payable to TPCGS,
and mail both the form and the check to:

The purpose of the TPCGS is to stimulate popular interest in family history, to seek genealogical and historical knowledge, to preserve and perpetuate the records of our ancestors, to aid individual members in compiling their family histories, and to collect and publish genealogical source material.
